 We decided to try this version of Otomix to give you more specific information about it.  Here is our experience with Otomix stingray.

 First of all the delivery was incredibly quick, the shoe looks good, it does not seem to be made cheaply.

It has a weight that makes it feel in your hand like it is made up with some modicum of quality.

This pair of shoes is very comfortable and has incredible ankle support. The sole grips the platform ground properly offering the right balance with allowance to pivot and step.

However, it is apparent that this model is made for bodybuilding; it lacks the durability for intense workout activities and foot movement.

The insole shifted towards the big toe due to the slippery fabric film; winded up with peeling off this film from the insole, we had to adjust the insole position before every training.

After a while, the sole used to fall off the front foot side shoe causes issues if the rubber gets stuck on the floor while moving. The durability lacks in the fighting side of these shoes.

Lastly, the Otomix stingray grips the floor super well. This is probably the most important aspect for many athletes.

But the problem is with lacing. The way it comes laced is so tricky to loosen on the lower laces.

That made it challenging to bridge in them. And when tried to change the style of lacing the lines became so long that the bow and the strings both were on the ground, making a possible trip point.

But that’s a nice thing – because the Nano line has evolved to be a real nice weightlifting shoe.

  • The rubber protection wrap helps to make this one stable shoe.
  • They’ve also carried over the rigid rubber protection wrap from the Nano 9, you can notice in the side view it goes from the midfoot around the heel in the rear.
  • The Flexweave in the Nano X is a high-quality material – it’s solid and good lucking and makes for a comfortable upper.

           This is a dual-layer material, as there is an inner mesh as well.

  • They have still got regular laces – but the tongue has changed a little bit. It’s now more stretchy and more streamlined.

  • The Achilles pad is coming up much higher, and the entirety of the collar has a modest dense foam ring all around the inside.

How Reebok Nano X works in the gym?

  • It’s a fantastic cross-trainer.
  • CrossFit WOD and other functional fitness will never be a problem in the Reebok Nano X.
  • Reebok Nano X is excellent for lifting, jumping, short runs box jumps, and more.
  • Nano X has plenty of firm, stable heel support for the weightlifting activities you might do in the CrossFit WOD including deadlifts, squats, and the Olympic lifts.
  • You can lift in the Nano X. since the flat, grippy outsole is made for maximum contact with the gym platform, and the heel (outsole and midsole) is very tough.
  • The most important feature of  Nano X is its EXTRA DURABILITY. as Cross-training requires shoes that can support fast movements, heavy lifts, and extensive jumps, without breaking down.
  • The sturdy outsole and the mid-level heel cup of the Nano X model provide more extensive comfort and stability than regular running shoes during cross-training activities. 
  • The excellent padding and wide toe box of Nano X give immediate comfort.
  • Reebok Nano X does have a great amount of flexibility for a cross-trainer.
  • Nano X lacks tread for grip while running.

Disadvantages of Reebok Nano X

  • Nano X is not great for long-distance running – and for many people, it does not have enough cushion to perform greatly in long distances and sprints.
  • Nano X almost has the same level of cushioning (or lack there-of) as Reebok Nano 9.
  • Reebok Nano X is not a running shoe; it’s a cross-trainer. And we do not need tons of mushy cushioning for all these weights we are going to lift.
  • Although Nano X is the most runnable Nano, it is only meant for short-running distances, supporting the runner up to a 5k.
